I am a seasoned science and development communication expert. With over 10 years’ experience working in the development, agricultural research, and global health field, I have developed and implemented communication strategies for research for development programs in Africa.

My achievements include organizing a historic 15th-anniversary event for the Biosciences eastern and central Africa-International Livestock Research Institute (BecA-ILRI) Hub that attracted over 200 participants and extensive local and international media coverage; the development and implementation of strategic communication plans which included production of electronic, print and audio visual material as well as media engagement for various research institutions; the establishment and management of partnerships for multi-stakeholders including government, national program collaborators, researchers, and project beneficiaries for the application of shared bioscience technology platforms to agriculture for development; curriculum development and implementation of training on communicating research to non-scientific audiences for over 50 scientists drawn from across Africa; and designing and facilitating East African regional civil society forums to advocate for increased domestic financing of health research.
